Format
Nordic Championship has no single fixed format. Each game runs in whichever model suits its ecosystem on Esport Arena — from a straight league to a knockout cup. Which model applies is decided per game.
Every team plays every other through the season, and the table decides.
The regular season decides which teams go through to the knockout rounds.
As above, but closing with a separate final for the title.
Straight knockout from the start — lose and you are out.
Points accumulate across several matches or rounds, and the total decides.
Whichever model applies, the winner is crowned Nordic Champion in their game.
How the format is decided
Input is gathered from the game’s player base.
The game’s admin team collates that input and gives its expert assessment.
The Esport Arena board decides the format for the game.
The championship is played in the agreed model.
What was learned feeds into the decision before the next season.
Several games have national representatives from every Nordic country in place, and gathering this kind of input is part of what they do. The player base can also be asked directly, and reviews after a completed championship are always taken into account.
