By registering you become a member of Esport Arena and gain access to our site. These terms apply to all visitors and registered users:
1. Refrain from harmful conduct
As a visitor to this site you are obliged to refrain from harmful conduct towards the site and towards other visitors and users, including but not limited to spam, sharing malicious resources, hacking and similar behaviour.
2. Refrain from discrimination and hate speech
As a visitor to this site you are obliged to refrain from expressing yourself in a way that discriminates against or demeans others on the basis of gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion or any other attribute you ascribe to groups or individuals. We have zero tolerance for hate speech of any kind.
3. Acceptance of the privacy policy
By using the site you accept our privacy policy. When you register an account this includes accepting the storage of mandatory information, among it the storage of IP addresses for as long as the account exists. The purpose of storing IP addresses is to prevent and detect cheating in its various forms.
4. Commitment to fair play
All visitors are obliged to behave in line with our values, “PRO-play”:
- Positivity
- Respect
- Open mindedness
This includes a commitment to fair play, meaning that players refrain from using any prohibited aids. As a general rule this covers all forms of aim assistance, macros, radar and wallhacks, and third-party software that alters graphics beyond the standard options of the graphics card, among other things.
For further detail on what is and is not permitted, see the overall regulations, the tournament regulations, and the rules in force for the individual gaming platform and the individual game.
5. Acceptance of the consequences of suspected or detected cheating
Esport Arena works with third-party providers of anti-cheat software, as stated on the site. Please note that agreements may be made with new providers capable of detecting cheating retroactively, and that we will regard such findings as valid.
By registering an account you also accept that relevant information about your account is passed to third-party anti-cheat software for review. This may include a requirement that you register with a third party in order to undergo that review. Failure to comply without undue delay will be sanctioned as cheating.
Cheating detected through the games’ built-in anti-cheat systems or through third-party anti-cheat software will lead to sanctions. These include exclusion from all Esport Arena events and from our tournament platform. Prizes already awarded will be reclaimed or must be returned. Please note that in some cases a report to the police may also be considered and filed.
Player accounts caught cheating are published on our platforms (website and Discord).
By registering and taking part in our competitions you accept these consequences where cheating is found to have occurred, and you waive any claim against Esport Arena arising from our finding that cheating has occurred, from sanctions such as exclusion, and from any other effects (including financial loss) this may have for you or for others.
6. Liability
Esport Arena works to provide a positive and inclusive environment for players, and competitions for both the grassroots and the top of Norwegian esports. While we take on the responsibility of making that possible, we are a voluntary organisation and are not in a position to accept liability for damages should unfortunate incidents occur — including data theft, scams, spam, personal attacks or similar. All use of our websites and services is therefore at the user’s own risk.
Esport Arena cannot be held liable for financial loss, social or personal difficulties, or any other negative consequence arising directly or indirectly from the use of our platforms and services. Esport Arena disclaims liability for all errors, defects and incidents that may affect users adversely. By continuing to use our site and services, the user accepts this.
7. Privacy
